Nirvani and Shimron Hetmyer sets up multi-million dollar food hamper project

Hundreds of families are affected by the severe flooding currently happening across the country. Berbicians would shortly be receiving food hampers from a joint Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC)/ Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) project sponsored by the Shimron and Nirvani Hetmyer Trust Fund.

The hampers would consist of twenty different food and other necessary items. Mrs. Hetmyer contacted RHTYSC Secretary/CEO and BCB President Hilbert Foster to inform him of the couple desire to make a positive difference in the lives of persons affected by the flood.

The hampers would be prepared by the members of the RHTYSC under the supervision of Foster. The Regional Executive Officer Navindra Persaud would assist the BCB/RHTYSC in identifying the areas urgently in need of assistance.

The project would be a multi-million dollar effort and BCB/RHTYSC would like to salute Shimron and Nirvani for reaching out to assist those who really need help. Mr and Mrs Hetmyer had been very supportive in the BCB’s effort to improve the standard of cricket in Berbice and assist the less fortunate.
