Jamaica Tallawahs Head Coach: We are expecting a lot from Chris Green

Former Guyana Amazon Warriors captain Chris Green is set to represent a new franchise in the upcoming Hero Caribbean Premier League. The Australian will turn out for the Jamaica Tallawahs team this season after he was roped in as a late replacement for Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hassan.

Jamaica Tallawahs Head Coach Floyd Reifer believes that Green will have a lot to offer to the Tallawahs in this CPL that bowls off on Thursday, August 26. “Chris Green as we know has been doing well in the CPL. He had a good stint at the Guyana Amazon Warriors, I thought he performed well for them, and watching him around the circuit he is a very good cricketer. We are expecting a lot from him especially with his tight off-spin and he can field and bat as well. He is very knowledgeable and he will a lot to the table on and off the field as well,” Reifer said.

The off-spinner Green has bowled some economical spells for the Warriors over the seasons. He made his CPL debut in 2018 where he picked up 10 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 6.27.

Green had a record spell of 3-3 in four overs last season.
