Imlach takes over as captain of Guyana Harpy Eagles team

West Indies selectee Tevin Imlach returned from Australia and will take over as captain of the Guyana Harpy Eagles team, replacing Kevlon Anderson. The Guyana Cricket Board communicated this message in a WhatsApp group to media operatives, that Imlach will sit at the helm of Guyana’s leadership, while Anderson will serve as vice-captain.

On Tuesday morning at 9:19h, the GCB said: Anderson continues as captain, Nial Smith and Shamar Joseph’s injuries to be reevaluated this week. An update later at 11:36h this morning then said Imlach will take over the captaincy while Anderson will now serve as his deputy, the GCB informed.

The Guyanese are seventh after a draw against Trinidad and a heavy defeat against Leewards

The Guyana Harpy Eagles are in seventh position on the points table, and the next challenge for the Guyanese will be the West Indies Academy at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. That match will start on Wednesday February 21.

Earlier in the week, the GCB also announced that spinners Richie Looknauth and Steven Sankar will return home, while Imlach and Gudkaesh Motie will be added to the squad.
