President of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Bissoondyal Singh and Vice-President Hilbert Foster were confirmed on Sunday last as Cricket West Indies Directors when the Annual General Meeting rolled out. Foster, who is the President of the BCB became the first Berbician to serve as full time Director to CWI.

The executive committee of the BCB would like to extend our congratulation to our President Hilbert Foster on his appointment as a Director of Cricket West Indies. Mr Foster three years ago, inherited a cricket board that was in decline, penniless and heavily in the reds but along with his team has today transform the BCB into the a very productive and dynamic organisation.His outstanding work at the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club also speaks for itself and he fully deserves the appointment. Congrats are also extended to Mr Bissoondyal Singh on his appointment as the second CWI Director.
We are very confident that Mr Foster and Mr Singh would be assets to the CWI and would not only promote the interest of Guyana cricket but would look after the overall interest of every player and member country in the West Indies. The BCB stands ready to offer any assistance needed as our main objective is to be involve in the development of West Indies Cricket. Mr Foster has indicated that members of the public can share ideas with him and we would like to encourage interested to contact him .
The BCB Executives would also like to congratulate GCB representatives Roland Williams and Azad Ibrahim on their outstanding work at the recent CWI Annual General Meeting. There can be no doubt that cricket in our beloved country is in safe hands. We would like to recommit ourselves to working every day to develop Guyana cricket and to work along with every dedicated administrator in the country. We would like to appeal to all our counterparts to support the new CWI Directors and the legally elected GCB executives. The board would also like to express our appreciation to Minister of Sports Charles Ramson Jnr for his leadership in resolving the decade long cricket crisis in Guyana . Thanks Minister for your courage ,wisdom and most importantly, your dedication.
